Someone from here sent me a whole bunch of Hot Tuna discs. I remember talking with someone about it quite a while back but I don't remember who. Anyways, very cool stuff. Thank you, I do appreciate the good tunes.
Peace.

Hey AJ--noticed you've been gone long enough that you had to alter your handle...? As to HT fans, JOTS is one of the big ones round here, though many others qualify as likely suspects for sending the goods! Now, if you'd said "CREAM", well, I might have been able to help you out more directly.

Ah, well, mystery solved: you changed your name to "Tank Tuba"...When will I ever learn? So, it was JOTS, at least according to this thread:

Hey man, I was just trying to thank someone for doing me a solid. Nothing more, nothing less.

There was a reason I stopped coming here, oh yeah, now I remember.

then perhaps an email to the person would have been preferable, rather than a public forum?

I was just trying to help out via knowing it almost had to be JOTS as I know how he loves HTuna, but when I searched for the thread, it was obscured by the change in handles!? I am sooo dense sometimes.

Rec'd a nice little book on PiperGatesDawn (PF's first; didn't know Syd took the title from chapter heading from WitWillows book!?) from the musically inclined kid, and speaking of the "extended free form jam" issue we've taken up here in so many ways over the yrs, Syd B and others talk about how live they extended their songs with NO plan whatsoever except to take up "space" (= time) because they had been alloted more time than they had songs for, etc.!? They in fact allude to NOT practicing such efforts, and of course, their bizarre sounding live sets are the stuff of legend, so perhaps no surprise there...maybe they were the originators of the "myth" of improvisation to the extreme that as a youth I applied so vigorously to my DEAD heros?

Uh yeah, if I had an email I wouldn't have said I don't remember who I had spoken to about sending me the music.

And if you look at the link that Mr. Tell has so graciously provided, you would notice that the post was in March of 2009. Now, I can only speak for myself, but I don't remember what I ate for dinner last week let alone a couple of emails from 19 months ago.

But I do remember you uploading a show for me over at LL. I couldn't tell you what show it was, but it was GD so I know it was good.
I thanked you for it then and I'll thank you again.
